This app is a great idea, but It doesn’t always deliver. My iphone is always trying to update my itunes library. When it does work, it drops out when using 3G. I included this app because it may be a Greater app in future upgrades. **We have giving Simplify Media an extra point because the newest version is much more stable.**

We have tested many weather apps and have always found some sort of flaw in the app. Many of the apps are missing smaller cities or town. We have been using MegaWeather for about a month and think it’s pretty good.
iDonJuan is one of my favorite fun apps. They tag it as “the iphone app no man should be without” and I totally agree. The app comes with over 30 sexy sayings recorded by professional voice actors. All the sayings are related to you being on the phone, and making the person your calling believe you really are a Don Juan. If you’re on the phone with a bud and want to let him know you’re spending the evening with 2 ladies, you put him on speaker phone and have the 2 ladies say, “Get off the phone and lets play twister” or “Come on honey put the iphone down I’ll give you something to tap”.

This app made me laugh so much I had to give it a perfect score. I believe apps should be fun and iDonJuan is one fun app. If you want to get really nasty with your sayings, you could have a friend record a saying into iDonJuan and it will be saved along side all the sayings that come with the app. The developer also says they will be coming out with additional sayings real soon. -P.S. I love Gigi (she’s one of the pre-installed voices). “The iPhone App everyman should have”

This is a great app. You could be driving in your car, speak into reQall and it will convert what you say to text. I have to say it does a very good job on the conversion. The only thing I don’t like about the app is when it saves the appointment into ical you can’t edit the appointment details in ical. You have to go back into reQall

When I first tried this app I really loved it. It’s easy to use and it’s fun. I understand the app is free, but a 30 second slide show is just not enough, even in the free version. I understand they want to up-sell you with other paid packages, but at least a minute in the fee version would be nice.
Mindwave - On the surface, MindWave looks like a similar app. Like WhiteNoise, it too generates a number of different sounds. Like WhiteNoise, it too offers a sleep timer. But unlike WhiteNoise, MindWave employs binaural beats. That makes it an entirely different app.

This is a great app. I use it all the time. Sometimes I will use the app when I’m falling asleep at night. And sometimes I may just want to “Get Focused” during the day, so I’ll pop in my headphone and have a 20 minute session while I’m working. I’ve tried a few apps of this kind, but this is my favorite so far.

I was concerned when i first got my iphone that there was not a great ‘note” section. (I came from a Treo). Once I discovered Evernote, my worry was over. This is a great app. It keep all your notes, web clippings etc, on their server so your desktop and Evernotes are always in sync.

I’ve been in a restaurant and wondered what the name of the song playing was. So I stood up and held my iphone in the air toward the speakers (looked a little silly) and in seconds Midomi told me the song name and artist.
We put Midomi and Shazam to the test and after many weeks of testing both apps, we have concluded that right now Midomi is a better app. 30 second preview and video are great features. Was free now 2.99

When I first read the description of this app I thought it would be a waste of time. But once i tried the app I was very surprised at how well it actually worked. You take a picture of a business card with your 3GS (does not work with 3G) and the app will try and place all the cards information in the appropriate field. The app works extremely well and thats why it’s now part of the GiA world. My only complaint is the price.
Flixster lists the top box office films according to popularity and rating, providing direct links to trailers of the films and profiles on services like the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and Rotten Tomatoes. You can also add your own ratings which are tied to your own Flixster profile.

We have tested so many movie review/show time, apps. Each app we tested seems to have it’s own little special feature. But overall we have to give top marks to Flixster. It lists all the theaters in our area (some of the other apps were missing theaters). One of my favorite features of this app is the “Upcoming” section, it will show you which films are in production over the next 2 years. You can also see what has just been released on DVD before heading to the video store.

I like finding out what DVD’s are coming out this week before I go to my local video store. This free app will also show you what’s coming soon and their top 250 movies (which i personally don’t agree with most of them). The app has a section showing “showtimes” but doesn’t have any listings for my area. It looks like it may be US only.
